I asked Little Bobby to put this page in, just so I would
have some way of offering thanks for all of you who’ve made
me feel so lucky, and to all of you who’ve been there to share
the joy of this whole experience.
Special thanks: (this is so exciting, like I’ve just made
a CD or something) to everyone for just checking out this site and
offering your support! And, of course, I thank God for this opportunity
and for all I'm given in this life, including cancer.
Thanks also to my little
Bobby McGee for creating
this webpage for me and for being an incredible source of support
(and fun) through all of this.
Thank you to Tamara (Hammer) and
Stephen
(Lush) for going above and beyond on a daily basis and being true
examples of people who live a life of gratitude. Thank you for being
Yoda and her loyal sidekick. I truly don’t know where I would
be if it weren’t for you, and I don’t just mean from
this one experience- I mean for being there over the years. I’ve
learned from the both of you so much more than you’ll ever
know and I love you for that. I’ve tried a million times to
explain to the both of you what you mean to me and what you’ve
done for me, and I’m not sure how I’ve managed to miss
it so many times. Maybe there are no words.
To Mandy, my heart & soul, thank you for being
you, for hopping on the next flight to Texas whenever I need you,
for providing me with constant laughs, for being the real friend
that you’ve always been to me. When I get a little Virgin
keychain from you, I feel like there’s another part of me
out there in the world. I love you so much, and it hurts not to
see you every day, but it’s good to know you’re holding
Diego down. Tell Georgie hi.
To Lori Russo and
Dr. Noor and
Dr. Nardirkhan Daya’s office, and all the
work you’ve put into my well-being, I owe you big. Thanks
for you continual checking in and caring and the amazing people
that you all are.
To Dr. B’s office and
Jody
and
Terri- You have all been a source of joy, hope
and amazing generosity. Thank you so much for not only what you
do for me, but for every patient that walks in your office.
To Mom, thank you so much just for being my mom,
for doing everything you can for me, for your support and love,
and most of all, for believing that everything is going to be okay.
To Amanda, you are like family to me, and it means
the world when you set your life aside to be with me when I need
you. And how can I repay pain meds?
To Kelly Mc and family, (you’ll always be
Kelly McClure to me)- how can I thank the girl who bought my crutches
for me? You’ve always been such an incredible person to me,
and it’s so good to be in close contact with my old friend
again.
To Lee and Oscar- thanks for your ongoing concern
and the fun you’ve provided. To have just known you a short
while, you’ve proven to be really good friends.
To Lance- I owe you big for all you do, and you
know what I’m talking about. It’s awesome to be close
to you again.
To Tina- Girl, I’ve always admired you, and
I appreciate your friendship and the things you’ve done for
Tamara and for me.
To the Kings and the Thompsons, thank you all for
making me a part of your family. It has meant so much, and I appreciate
all your thoughts and prayers.
To Regan, you’re always good for a movie
quote and a smile. I appreciate your constant energy and enthusiasm,
and your unwillingness to look at my foot. :-)
To Bug & Krista, June, Hugo, Caesar, Aaron, Robin &
Ru, Martin, Helen, Rico, Mary Lou, Ms. Barajas, Tito -
thanks for your support, phone calls, letters and thoughts. It’s
a true blessing to have such good friends, even when you’re
so far away.
And thank you in advance to all of you that are going to participate
in my fundraisers.
